Stress Management

I offer a four session stress management course which is for both individuals and for groups. This is ideal for businesses who are concerned about stress levels within their organisation.

Statistics from the health and safety executive.

· The Stress and Health at Work Study (SHAW) showed nearly 1 in 5 of all working individuals thought their job was very or extremely stressful.

  • A 2001/2 study (HSE) indicated that over half a million individuals in Britain believed that they were experiencing work-related stress at a level that was making them ill.
  • Estimates indicate that self-reported work-related stress, depression or anxiety accounts for an estimated thirteen and a half million reported lost working days per year in Britain.
  • Work related stress costs employers about £3.7 billion every year.

  • It is worth noting that employers and employees responsible for causing other employees to be affected seriously by stress can be prosecuted.
  • It is becoming increasingly common for the courts to award damages to employees in stress related cases. Some awards have been in excess of £250,000.
