Stress Management
I offer a four session stress management
course which is for both individuals and for groups.
This is ideal for businesses who are concerned about
stress levels within their organisation.
Statistics from the health and safety
executive.
· The Stress and Health at Work
Study (SHAW) showed nearly 1 in 5 of all working individuals
thought their job was very or extremely stressful.
- A 2001/2 study (HSE) indicated
that over half a million individuals in Britain believed
that they were experiencing work-related stress at
a level that was making them ill.
- Estimates indicate that self-reported
work-related stress, depression or anxiety accounts
for an estimated thirteen and a half million reported
lost working days per year in Britain.
- Work related stress costs employers
about £3.7 billion every year.

- It is worth noting that employers
and employees responsible for causing other employees
to be affected seriously by stress can be prosecuted.
- It is becoming increasingly common
for the courts to award damages to employees in stress
related cases. Some awards have been in excess of
£250,000.
