What is hypnosis

Because of what people have seen on television and films, some people have a misconception of hypnosis being something mystical or magical. Nothing could be further from the truth.

mindHypnosis is a perfectly natural phenomenon that is achievable by anyone. And when used with various techniques such as suggestion therapy  or hypnoanalysis, if can help people to bring about some wonderfully positive psychological changes.

The word hypnosis is derived from the Greek word ‘hypnos’ meaning ‘sleep’, although the state itself is not the same as sleep. Most people will be fully aware of everything that is being said during a hypnotic session but they will feel a wonderful sense of relaxation that will spread through the Treewhole of their body, and they may experience other relaxing sensations.

It is a common misconception that hypnotherapy is looked down upon by academic science. This is far from the truth, in fact many clinical studies within psychology now use hypnosis to help study such things as emotions, memory, attention, as well as other aspects of the human condition.

If you have any questions about whether hypnosis could help you, why not ring and find out.

Remember, the consultation is free.

Rob has had clients from all over the country, although many come from Lincoln and the surrounding area such as Wragby, Horncastle, Louth, Newark, Gainsborough, Market Rasen.
